Moss & Thread is an eco-conscious clothing label rooted in slow fashion and mindful craftsmanship. When they approached Mōra, their challenge was clear — they had the ethos but lacked a voice. They needed a brand that visually whispered sustainability, not screamed it; something poetic yet grounded in purpose.
We set out to design an identity that feels alive — one that breathes, ages, and grows with its audience. The result: a visual world inspired by texture, balance, and the quiet poetry of nature.
Visual direction
The concept of “living minimalism” guided the entire design system. We drew from the textures of moss, linen, and clay — materials that evoke calm and tactility. The logo is composed of soft letterforms with subtle imperfections, echoing handwoven threads. Color choices balance muted greens and off-whites with grounding clay tones — evoking natural pigments and organic fabrics. Typography remains understated: elegant serif headings paired with humanist sans body copy to create timeless contrast.
The packaging system was designed to age gracefully — recyclable kraft materials, debossed logos, and earthy ink tones. Nothing shiny, nothing excess — just quiet confidence.
